  1. Street musicians can brighten a place up as long as there are not too many of them and public amenity is not adversely affected. It’s all about balance. How about licenses for good performers who are then paid out of the public purse ? Rather than buskers having to beg and make people feel uncomforatble when passing them, citizens could enjoy the performances without guilt. This idea could apply to many cities around the world.
